The Place
Waxahachie is a small rural town located just south of Dallas. Famed for its beautifull court house and stately Victorian homes, it was a place a person was known by and knew everyone living in it.
Waxahachie High School had less than 600 students from 9th through 12th grades. It was small enough that one knew everyone in the school, yet large enough that there was a wonderful diversity of personalities and characters. To them this site is dedicated.

The Times
1961-1964 saw a period of great change in the world we knew and the attitude of a nation. It was a turbulent time, a period of unsettling change that took place in a short period of time. It was a time of war, college protests, riots, integration, a sexual revolution, and the beginning of the drug culture. All of which challenged our basic principals. Yet, our town, our schools, families, and friends provided the stability of character required to cope with these times.
